Dieting

I have spent most of my teens and all of my adult life dieting. I've tried weight watchers and slimming world and they don't work for me as I have terrible willpower. I found I had better results with slimming world though. I want it to be a change in lifestyle so these juice/smoothie diets, appetite suppression pills or meal replacement diets won't work for me as this is a long term thing not a quick fix (it has taken me so long to get in this frame of mind). I had considered doing something like this to kick start the weight loss but again for me I don't think it will work. I'm starting to realise the best thing for me is to eat healthily. I've tried winging it and reducing portion sizes or trying to eat healthy and just eat salad. I'm now planning to go low carb. As a diabetic this is highly recommended but I never took the plunge as I love pasta far too much and I thought, being ignorant, that I could never eat this again. To begin with there will be a lot of trial and error as to what I can eat without it spiking blood sugars. I may find I can eat a small amount of pasta but not potatoes etc. or neither. It's going to take some adjusting to this way of eating but it will be worth it improving my health and losing weight too.
