Recently, I've been on a mission to declutter our house. Our home is far too small and although we are looking to move to a bigger house that isn't happening for a while yet. This, of course, isn't helped by all the toys and "stuff" that children bring.
BUT (and this is where the rant starts) last month our council decided to change our weekly bin collections to fortnightly and I do understand that they're on a tight budget but it makes decluttering so difficult! I don't have easy access to drop things off at a charity shop so if something isn't good enough for selling it has to be chucked and we're really struggling to do this. Although, in the grand scheme of things, this is very unimportant it is very frustrating! I think we're at a standstill now! This could easily be solved by taking stuff down to the skip but as hubby is currently learning to drive and I will be doing in the very near future we can't as neither of us drives (that old chestnut!) and it's the same for the charity shop. Things are so much easier with a car. We're both itching to be driving but unfortunately it takes time. Argh!
Reading this back, my rant has changed from bin collections to being unable to drive. Funny how things go when you're steaming through because you're annoyed lol! Anyway, I feel a little better now :)
